In the late 1990s, South Texas began a period of explosive growth that continues today. The rapid growth in South Texas created an enormous demand for new roads. But there was a problem. There was a lack of reliable and dependable transport solutions for brining necessary road building materials to construction projects where they were needed. It was obvious that there was a need for a company that would specialize in transporting construction aggregates and road materials consistently and reliably.
Southern Star Transport was launched in 2000, as the company that specializes in delivering construction aggregates and road-building materials in South Texas. Since then, we’ve continued to grow and expand our base fleet of trucks to more than 100 vehicles ready to move the road materials builders and developers need for their projects.
We transport asphalt and all of the other products that go into building roads and parking lots across South Texas. We transport caliche gravel, sand, hot mix and cold mix asphalt and asphalt coated materials, cement and more.
